The Natural Vet is a veterinary practice trading as The Natural Vet Ltd, registered in Scotland. Our registered surgery is at Unit 3 Block 5 Spiersbridge Terrace, Thornliebank Industrial Estate, Glasgow G46 8JH. You can reach us on 0141 370 0282 or at reception@thenaturalvet.co.uk.
Our vets are members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the practice is registered with the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme.
When you register your pet you confirm that you are the registered keeper, or that you have permission from the keeper to bring the animal to us. We will ask for previous practice details so we can request your pet's clinical history.
We reserve the right to decline registration in rare cases where we feel we are not the right practice for your pet's needs. We will always explain why, and where possible suggest an alternative.
Fees are payable on the day of treatment. Standard prices are published on our prices page. For procedures booked in advance we will give a written estimate before the work begins, and we will contact you if any cost looks likely to vary from that estimate.
We accept debit and credit cards, cash and direct debit (for Health Club members). We do not currently offer payment in instalments, but please talk to us if cost is a concern. We would rather help you plan than have you delay care.
We are happy to process direct insurance claims on your behalf where the insurer permits, subject to a small administration fee. You remain responsible for the bill if the claim is not paid in full by the insurer.
Membership of the Health Club is governed by separate terms presented at sign-up, including monthly direct debit, item frequency, cancellation and switching between tiers. Health Club terms are summarised on our Health Club page and the full version is available on request.
Prescription medicines are dispensed by us only where, in our professional opinion, they are clinically appropriate. We may need to see your pet before prescribing, and at regular intervals during treatment, in line with RCVS guidance.
You have the right to request a written prescription, which you may take to another supplier. There is a small fee for written prescriptions to cover administration time.
Outside our published opening hours, emergency care is provided by our partner, Emergency Vets Glasgow on 0141 260 5555, or Vets Now Emergency Service on 0141 332 3212. Their fees apply separately. If we admit your pet for in-patient care that crosses out-of-hours, we will let you know the arrangements in advance.
If something goes wrong we want to know. Please tell us in person, by phone or in writing, and we will respond within five working days with the steps we are taking. If we cannot resolve a complaint to your satisfaction, the RCVS Veterinary Client Mediation Service is available at vetmediation.co.uk.
We take pride in delivering the highest standard of care, but veterinary medicine has inherent risks and not all outcomes can be guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded under law.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published here, and we will tell you about material changes the next time you register or visit. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last updated.
These terms are governed by Scots law and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
